Looking forward to the holidays

Well, well, well…. Here I am again.

It has been sooooo long. Probably you are thinking: no news is good news…. And: time flies when you’re having fun. All that is true, but to be honest… I also lacked quite a bit of inspiration. I’ve been having many visits, and have done a lot of sightseeing with my friends from Holland, have been going to the beach a lot… but apart from that it just didn’t seem right only highlighting these great moments without sharing some of my thoughts about life and work. My mind was so full that I simply couldn’t find the words to express myself. The fact that I do write again does not mean that I have found the words. Not at all!!! But I have decided that even without words, or maybe with the wrong words it’s worth writing my blog. And maybe words are even unnecessary when there are pictures :) 

As I said, regarding work and life, thousands of thoughts are going through my mind. It’s all about: how will I make/create a change in my work situation? It’s obvious that I can not go on like this… Maybe I should work as a freelancer, as a translator for example, combining this with other activities? That way, I could work from home, and even go to Holland more often and longer! Or is this unrealistic, will I never be able to make a living this way? Should I stay in the office and just accept it? Maybe I wouldn’t even mind working in an office, doing an uninteresting job, as long as the people are nice and the conditions are good… Maybe it’s ok for me to work to live. Because that is the good point of it all: besides the hours I work, I am enjoying life so much. The weekends are real mini holidays!! 

Talking about mini holidays… soon I will start the big holidays. Dani and I are coming to Holland on August 11^th and we will leave in August 27^th. In the meantime we will also enjoy a few days Dublin! Once we’re back in Gran Canaria we will go to Artenara to celebrate the local summer festivities La Cuevita during a long weekend, after which we will relax a week at the beach. I am looking forward to it so much and of course I hope to see as many of you as possible!!
