Changes

Hi all!

How are you doing? I have been very busy since the holidays, I haven´t even written anything on this blog.... Anyway I guess most of you already know what I´ve been up to.

First of all, Dani and I had such a great holiday in Holland, we´ve seen a lot of people, had a lot of parties and went to many terraces. It was such a nice and warm summer. We were also lucky when we went to Dublin. We nearly missed our flight because the train broke down, but we made it and we had a few amazing days in Dublin. We walked a lot and the wheather was good :) When we were back in Gran Canaria, we went to Artenara for the weekend for the local town parties and after that we went to the beach for a week... NICE.

Well, as always, holiday end some day and I had to go back to my nightmare: the office. I had reflected a lot on my situation and I knew I was going to make changes somehow. At the end of september I gave my 2weeks notice and finally I could count my last days. And then a miracle happened and I found a new job in the meantime, in a small international publicity company. Inmediately I had a good feeling about the people and the atmosphere, so much better than the hierarchical environment I was used to at the lawyers company. To be honest, I still don´t know exactly what I have to do (I start next week), but I will take care of the dutch market, of our dutch webpages with discount vouchers for purchases on the internet. I´ll be traffic manager / web comercial. Sounds great, eh?? I´m also happy that it´s parttime, so I can also spend more time trying to get more translation jobs. I´m already in contact with a very enthusiastic canarian guy who translates from dutch/german/english to spanish. So we´ll stay in contact and I can do the translations from spanish to dutch :)

So, as you can see, all positive things are happening. I feel I am surrounded by good vibes, all of a sudden I even got a few phonecalls lately with job offers, which I had to decline. Before I´ll start my new job I am enjoying a bit of holiday. Frederique and Nicole came to visit me and I had an amazing time showing them my island, discovering busroutes- and times and of course going out at night. It´s so much fun to be on holiday where you live. And I am so lucky to live here!! Now they´re gone, which was weird. The emptiness was even bigger now that I don´t work. But next friday my parents are coming and on monday I already start the new job.
